Northern Cape Transport launches Departmental Men’s Forum in Kimberley, 7 Jul

Department to launch the Departmental Men’s Forum in support of the Provincial Call to Action

The Northern Cape Department of Transport, Safety and Liaison will be launching the Departmental Men’s Forum in support of the Provincial Call to Action tomorrow in Kimberley.

The recent spate of brutal attacks on women, children and other vulnerable groups prompted the Provincial Government to have a Provincial Call to Action to address issues concerning violence and abuse in a coordinated and systematic manner.

Responding to the call, MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison Ms Pauline Williams and MEC for Social Development, Father Gift van Staden saw the need to launch a structured Men’s Forum called, The Provincial Men’s Forum.

The mandate of the forum will be, amongst others, to expand the scope and coordination of programmes of already established men’s structures and help give guidance to forums yet to be established.

DTSL Men’s Forum Launch Details:
