The Minister of the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform Gugile Nkwinti will on Monday 1 August 2016 handover ploughing plot under the One Household-One Hectare programme.
There are 220 households, who will be benefiting through the programme. This initiative is part of the Department’s Strategy of combating poverty and end structural marginalisation of rural economies. One Household-One Hectare programme focuses on creating class of black small holder farmers as well as to create sustainable employment in rural areas.
The minister will also sign a Troika agreement between farmworkers and investors of the Kommetjieshoek farm.
