Justice takes 2017 Child Protection Week to Ratlou Local Municipality
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development in partnership with stakeholders is taking part in the 2017 Child Protection Week to honour and celebrate children's interest and rights. The department is commissioned to advocate for justice and among other responsibilities is to provide for the promotion of the of rule law.
It is against this background that the department deemed it important to participate in the 2017 Child Protection Week in response to this noble call of caring and protecting children.
The campaign was launched on Friday May 26, 2017 at Mareetsane Village in Ratlou Local Municipality with community session focusing at Foster Children and Parents. The outreach commences today, Monday May 29, 2017 with a visit at Ntshidi Secondary School in Mabule Village and later with Blitz Campaign at Tshidilamolomo Village.
The activities will during the week take to other wards within Ratlou Local Municipality engaging with community members, Early Childhood Centres and schools. The campaign will be sealed at Setlagole Village on Friday June 02, 2017.
