Deputy Minister Mduduzi Manana officiates send-off reception for Japanese Government scholarship awardees, 22 Aug

Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training Deputy Minister Mduduzi Manana to officiate at the send-off reception for 41 scholarship awardees of the Japanese Government

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr Mduduzi Manana, MP, will officiate at the send-off reception for forty one (41) scholarship awardees of the African Business Education (ABE) initiative of the Government of Japan, on Monday, 22 August 2016, at Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria.

The scholarship recipients will depart for Japan during August and September to pursue Master's degrees in various fields including engineering, business, and economics. Upon completion of their Master’s degrees, scholarship recipients will spend up to 6 months undertaking an internship programme for experiential learning at Japanese companies before returning to South Africa. These skills will contribute towards the development of industries in South Africa and expand on business links with Japan.
