Premier Stan Mathabatha and MEC Ishmael Kgetjepe visit Dendron School, 13 Jan

Education is a societal issue. This is why all leaders will join hands with all education partners and visit different schools around the Province to monitor the beginning of teaching and learning in the Province.

Amongst those attending schools are more than 15000 grade 1 learners who were registered towards the end of last year. MEC for Education Ntate Ishmael Kgetjepe had a meeting with his District Senior Managers with the view of checking the readiness today. He instructed that teaching and learning resume tomorrow in all the schools.

The Learning and Teaching material started to be delivered in the past months and at the moment the department is completing the process. On the 10th January, the department will do a snap survey to find out how the top-up material can be delivered. Top-up material are materials to be delivered after assessing gaps caused inter alia by migration of learners.

The Premier of Limpopo, Ntate Stan Mathabatha, MEC for Education Ntate Ishmael Kgetjepe will be joined by the Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPLs), Executive Mayors and Mayors to visit Dendron School as follows:

Other leaders will visit different areas of the Province on the same date. Leaders will continue to visit schools on the 14th and the 15th January 2016 to encourage the culture of learning and teaching.
