Invitation to attend the Leading Change in the City Conference in Pretoria at CSIR
South Africa will host the UN HABITAT -Leading Change in the City Conference from 6 to 8 April 2016 in Pretoria at CSIR conference centre to explore approaches and strategies in the inter-related areas of tenure security and housing, livelihoods, safety, and governance. For this purpose, lessons learned, challenges, pro-poor solutions, and partnership mechanisms will be shared.
This shall inspire governments and civil society to come up with an agreed framework and global action plan to inform the new agenda to be adopted at Habitat III and the implementation of 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
On the first day of the conference (6 April 2016) you are invited to participate in The Urban Journalism Academy (UJA), a pioneering and innovative initiative to train journalists and media professionals who are already interested or involved in urban development with reference to social, economic and economic issues facing cities in the 21st Century.
