Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign
The Northern Cape Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) hereby invite representatives of the media to cover the Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign, which will be held in Kuruman on the 19 October 2016.
The aim of this Human trafficking Campaign is to foster the participation and to galvanise community support in fighting this crime. Moreover, we aim to create a dialogue between various stakeholders, including government departments, civil society organisations, so as to promote a society that has a zero tolerance attitude towards this modern slavery.
The campaign will start with a march at Kuruman Police Station on 19 October from 9h00 and proceed to Wilger Park where community will be addressed by key stakeholders.
The presence of the media to cover this event will be highly appreciated and will contribute to a saver and informed society we all need.
