Parliament conducts public hearing on Higher Education Bill, 16 Feb

UCT among Institutions to make an input at Higher Education Bill Public Hearings

The University of Cape Town is among the first institutions and entities that will make a submission to the public hearings on the Higher Education Amendment (HEA) Bill tomorrow.

The Portfolio Committee on Higher Education and Training will in the next two days conduct public hearings into the HEA Bill which seeks to ensure, among others, proper governance, oversight mechanism on institutions, balancing institutional autonomy with accountability, and pushing transformation of the sector in line with the National Development Plan (NDP).
