The Department of Health will commemorate National Oral Health Month by holding a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme for oral Health professionals from all provinces and visits to schools in Mahikeng, North West province, from 12 to 13 October 2016.
Oral Health Month celebration will also provision of where educational programmes such as primary preventive programmes including flouride toothpaste - tooth brushing and tooth fissure sealant applications to learners.
During the commemorations about 250 oral health personnel, health promoters and nutrition officials will visit schools to hand out education and promotional materials to learners in the province.
The accredited Continuous Professional Development programme is aimed at empowering oral health professionals and share information on public oral health and share new oral health clinical skills.
