Hawks arrests drug dealers after cocaine bust

The Hawks in Gauteng have on Thursday arrested two suspects in two separate incidents for dealing in drugs.

A sting operation led the Hawks to the 41 year old suspect’s house in a plush Centurion estate and a self-storage in Valleyview where heroine and cocaine rocks weighing 1.3kg were found. The bank statements reflecting transactions ranging from R100 000 to R200 000 on weekly basis were also  seized during the operation.

Meanwhile, at the OR Tambo International Airport another 39 year old suspect was arrested with cocaine worth R2.5milion. The suspect was caught shortly after he landed at the airport from Brazil carrying luggage containing cocaine weighing 5kg. Members of Hawks received a tip off that led to the arrest of the suspect.

The suspects will appear at the Pretoria and Kempton Park Magistrates Courts respectively on Monday, 18 April 2016 for possession of drugs.
