Germiston TOLAB gets R11 million facelift

Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport Ismail Vadi will on Thursday, 14 April 2016 officially open the revamped Germiston Transport Operating Licensing Administration Body (TOLAB) in Ekurhuleni.

The R11 million project’s objective is to provide a fully functional TOLAB aimed at servicing public transport operators in the Ekurhuleni region and surrounding areas. It is anticipated to provide high quality, accessible, efficient, safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable transport services in a regulated environment.

TOLABs are business centres that have been established to facilitate the administration of all operating licensing and registration process on behalf of the department.

Transport operators in the Ekurhuleni region are set to benefit due to reduced travel times to the Johannesburg TOLAB to register as operators or to acquire operating licenses.

The revamp is part of continuous commitment to take government services closer to the people.
