Deputy Minister Bheki Cele holds drought Imbizo in Ga- Kibi as part of Mandela Day, 21 Jul

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, General Bheki Cele returns to Ga- Kibi as a follow up visit on the drought imbizo held earlier this year. He will also together with the acting Limpopo MEC of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Seaparo Sekoati commemorate the International Nelson Mandela Day with farmers and community members of the Ga-Kibi, Blouberg Municipality in the Limpopo Province.

The event will be organised under the theme “Taking Action. Inspire Change. Make every day a Mandela Day”.

Mandela Day is about celebrating Madiba’s life and legacy by inspiring people around the world to embrace the values of democracy, equality, reconciliation, diversity, responsibility, respect and freedom. The departed icon encouraged every person in the world to make a difference, no matter how big or small their contribution.

The Deputy Minister returns to the Blouberg Municipality after being there in February 2016 during the Drought Road Show, where households and projects were identified and profiled to identify their needs and their level of vulnerability. This follow-up visit will focus on the progress made since then. Mandela day will be commemorated by interacting with and giving feedback to the community.

Media is therefore invited to attend.
