GPL Committee teams-up with Rambo Council to raise awareness against gender based violence
The Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s (GPL) Portfolio Committee on Community Safety has joined forces with the Rainbow Mzansi Bikers’ Organisation (Rambo Council) in a Bikers’ Breakfast Run aimed at raising awareness on the impact of gender-based violence that has plagued the Province; and mobilize men to be protectors of women and children.
Through this campaign, the organisations will pledge their support against this societal ill and plead with all People of Gauteng to blow the whistle against this evil that continues to plague our communities. The Breakfast Run will take place on Sunday, 11th June 2017 from South Gate Mall to Walter Sisulu Square Soweto.
Enroute to Walter Sisulu Square, GPL MPLs, staff and the Bikers will stop at the Baragwanath Taxi Rank and Maponya Mall to create awareness and engage with commuters while handing out information pamphlets.
Let us take a stand and wage war against women and children abuse, as well as the abuse of all the vulnerable in our society.
