GPL speaker & community safety MEC to lead a Human Chain
The Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL), Honourable Ntombi Mekgwe and the MEC for Community Safety, Honourable Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, will tomorrow lead a Human Chain to highlight the plight of women and children abuse.
The significance of the Human Chain is to mobilise men to be protectors of women and children following the recent spate of rapes and murders of young women in the Province.
The chain is expected to attract more than 500 people including members of the Legislature, representatives of various Non-Governmental Organisations and young men from various communities in the Province.
