Gauteng Legislature assesses progress of Gauteng Infrastructure Development projects, 31 Jan

GPL infrastructure development committee to assess progress of GDID projects

The Portfolio Committee on Infrastructure Development will on Tuesday, 31 January 2017 hold its first Committee meeting for the year to assess progress made on infrastructure projects currently being implemented by the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (GDID), amongst other issues.

The Committee will assess the progress made by the department in implementing the following projects:

  • Suikerborsrand project
  • Sebokeng Hospital
  • Randgate Clinic
  • Tlamatlama Primary school
  • Thelle Mogoerane Hospital accommodation project

This assessment will be done through the Department’s Lutsinga system.  The system was developed as an infrastructure monitoring tool to ensure on-time delivery of projects and an end to inefficient monitoring and oversight, cost overruns, delays, corruption and wastage.
