Alexandra community to get dedicated eye clinic
As part of improving and making eye care treatment easily accessible, the Gauteng Department of Health will on Thursday officially open Alexandra eye care clinic.
MEC for Health, Ms Qedani Mahlangu, will be joined on the day by NGO Brien Holden Vision Institute and Standard Chartered Bank representatives who have collaborated with the Department.
The opening of this clinic forms part of eye care awareness month, which is commemorated globally between September and October. Health screening will be offered to members of the community as part of the festivities on the day.
