Gauteng Health implements electronic Bed Management System, 19 Apr

The Gauteng Department of Health will on Tuesday, 19 April 2016 officially implement the electronic Bed Management System (eBMS) which is aimed at creating a seamless referral and management of patients across the province.

Gauteng hospitals manage on average about 27.7 million patients annually, and often experience a shortage of beds, the eBMS will enable medical personnel to identify the location of available beds across the cluster, thereby improve movement and uptake of patients.
