Transport Careers Expo
The Free State Province, in conjunction with the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) will host the inaugural Free State Transport Careers Expo at the Parys Aerodrome on Saturday, 3 June 2017.
The Expo aims to expose high school learners and job seekers to careers in the various streams of the transport sector including road, rail, aviation, forward and clearing, freight handling, maritime and green transport.
The end goal for this initiative is to encourage learners to select subjects that will assist them in pursuing careers in the transport sector while creating a platform for skills development and capacity building in the sector.
The Expo will be packed with informative talks from exhibitors in the transport sector, achievers and entrepreneurs who have made major strides in this specialised sector which contributes approximately 9% towards the country’s GDP.
