Free State Gender Based Violence strategy and the Women’s Month launch
In an effort to reduce the high rate of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the province, the Free State Provincial government will launch the Provincial Gender Based Violence on the 1st of August 2017. The strategy seeks to reduce GBV incidents by implementing prevention strategies and also to put in place the response system that will improve the breadth and quality services.
The provincial strategy is launched during the women’s month due to the fact that the gender based violence affects women and children mostly. Secondly, we will be launching Women’ Month (August) under the theme “Women United in moving South Africa Forward’
