The Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces, Ms Thandi Modise, will on Tuesday, 5 July 2016, deliver the keynote address at a gala dinner to mark the opening of the International Centenary Conference at the University of Fort Hare in the Eastern Cape.
The University of Fort Hare is celebrating its centenary this year and the conference is part of a series of events hosted by the university to mark this auspicious occasion.
The theme of the conference is “Transformation in higher education and leadership: Looking back at a century of intellectual and scholarly commitment in Africa” and is jointly organised in collaboration with the University of South Africa and the Department of Higher Education and Training.
