Parliament on collection of media accreditation for 2020 State of the Nation Address

Final media arrangements: 2020 State of the Nation Address

Accredited media representatives who are covering the 2020 State of the Nation Address today, 13 February 2020, are urged to collect their accreditation tags at No. 49 Hope Street (Government Garage), Cape Town – this accreditation point is located about 500 meters away from Parliament.

General information

  • The accreditation centre is open and will close strictly at 2pm.
  • Media personnel should collect their accreditation in person and present their identification documents (identity document/passport) for the collection of accreditation tags and sign upon receipt of the tags.
  • Only accredited media, in possession of accreditation tags, will have access to the parliamentary precinct today, 13 February 2020.
  • Accredited media in possession of accreditation tags will enter Parliament through the Flame of Remembrance entrance, located at the corner of Plein and Roeland Street (just above the main Parliament’s visitors entrance).
  • A final briefing on SONA 2020 arrangements will take place at 13.00 at the Imbizo Centre (Ground Floor, 120 Plein Building, Parliament)
