CF- filing fastracks self registration by employers

On-line self registration of employers and enhancing the process enabling the business to obtain a letter of good standing quickly are some of the innovations the Compensation Fund (CF) has come up with to provide an effective and efficient client service.

Addressing Medical Service Providers at an interactive session in Witbank, Mpumalanga on Monday evening, Vuyo Mafata, CF Commissioner said these efforts were in line with the Fund’s strategic priority of providing faster, reliable and accessible COID services by 2020.

“We are serious about giving support to the Fund, namely, providing quality medical care and client-centred care as part of the future of the Fund”, he said. He said employer registering and Return Of Earnings were among the challenges the Fund faced.

In terms of the function restructuring we have introduced, we will see a separation of COID services, medical benefits and rehabilitation services”, Mafata said.

COIDA services include:

  • Claims Registration
  • Pensions
  • Accident Insurance Pay outs (TTD and PDs)
  • Employer Registration
  • Return of Earnings and Assessments
  • Compliance and Audits

Medical benefits are:

  • Medical Services (Procedure Authorisations, specialised claims processing etc.)
  • Medical Claims Processing and payments
  • Managed Care Services and

Rehabilitation services focus on:

  • Vocational Rehabilitation programmes
  • Clinical Rehabilitation  programmes
  • Social Rehabilitation programmes
