Energy Minister's visits in Warmer, Nelson Mandela Day Municipality
The Minister of Energy, Ms Tina Joemat-Pettersson will conduct walkabouts in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality areas of Walmer, Seaview, and the Couga IDZ to interact directly with the community, and industry players on issues of service delivery and developments in the Renewable Energy sector.
This visit is informed by the strategic deliverables of the department as envisioned for 2016/17 and beyond. These include the promotion of universal energy access; ensuring security of supply; promoting mixed energy resource utilisation; and promoting resource conservation awareness through the work of the various line function branches.
Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson will be accompanied by Cllr Danny Jordan, Executive Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality; Cllr Bicks Ndoni, Speaker and Cllr for Infrastructure, as well as POWERX and Clean Energy Africa Management.
