Minister Thulas Nxesi launches 19th Commission for Employment Equity Annual Report and Public Register, 26 Aug

CEE to present the latest EE Report on workplace transformation in SA to Employment and Labour Minister, TW. Nxesi

South Africa’s Employment and Labour Minister, TW. Nxesi is to officially launch the 19th Commission for Employment Equity (CEE) Annual Report and Public Register of all designated employers to reflect on the status of workplace transformation.

The report under the tagline: “Transformation does make business sense” – will reflect on the status of employment equity (EE) in South Africa and how far has the country progressed in its workplace transformation endeavours.

It will also highlight the extent to which companies have complied with the employment equity (EE) Act, the achievement of the objectives of meaningful workplace transformation in South Africa; the make-up of workplace demographics; the representation of disadvantaged in managerial positions and that of persons with disabilities.

Sharing the platform with the Minister will be Employment and Labour Deputy Minister Boitumelo Moloi; Department of Employment and Labour Director-General, Thobile Lamati; and CEE Chairperson, Tabea Kabinde.

The media briefing to launch the CEE Report will be held at Pretoria’s Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) Auditorium, Ground Floor.
