The Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa will officially hand over state of the art Ramadimetja Sophia Mogotlane Early Childhood Development Centre at Mookgophong. The state of art facility will play a crucial part of a child's development and quality training in ensuring that a child is confident and ready for school.
ECD has proven that they perform better than their peers whom are not attending ECD in their communities. Investing in Early Childhood Development recognizes that the protection and development of children not only safe guards their own well –being but is also the best guarantee of future peace, security and prosperity for the community at large.
The objectives of the Early Childhood Development are:
- To provide children with an opportunity to develop in the areas of numeracy and literacy, through play and creative activities
- To improve the health and wellbeing of children, through access to adequate nutrition and health services
- To ensure that children are given age-appropriate computer skills development
- To produce children that are school ready and meet the normative development milestones of being able to read, write and count.
