Members of the media are invited to a Media Networking Breakfast to be hosted by the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) as part of World Water Day celebrations on Friday, 22 March 2019 at Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria at 08:30.
The Media Breakfast which will be held under the theme, “Leaving no one behind, water for all”, will feature panelists from both international and national organisations. The speakers will focus on topics relating to international water interventions in South Africa and the quality of water in areas such as the Vaal River.
During the engagement session, discussions will also be centred on the collaborative efforts of the organisations with the South African government to ensure that water for all can be realized, as stipulated in the National Water and Sanitation Master Plan, National Development Plan and Goal 6 of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Media Networking Breakfast will be followed by the official launch of the Development Cooperation Partners Platform by Minister Gugile Nkwinti at the same venue.
Members of the media will be afforded an opportunity to engage the panelists on the day.
