The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) today officially handed over a Media Classroom to Pula Madibogo Primary School in Limpopo, their Baswa le Meetse prize for coming first in the traditional music category in 2014.
MEC Joyce Mashamba of the Limpopo Department of Social Development led the handover ceremony on behalf of Deputy Minister Pamela Tshwete. “You should know the importance of using this new found educational knowledge equipment,” she urged the learners.
The state-of-the-art facility donated by our partner MTNr, comprises of 20 computers, a printer and an interactive touch screen board. The package is an advanced technology which is curriculum aligned.
A representative from the provincial Department of Education announced that their department in conjunction with the University of Limpopo’s Information and Communication Technology will offer support to the school in terms of maintenance and other related issues.
The handover ceremony was a welcome occasion for the school as it bade farewell to its Principal who was going on pension and Pula Madibogo was also celebrating its 50th anniversary.
