The Deputy Minister of Communications, Ms Stella Ndabeni Abrahams will, on Friday 15 July 2016, conduct an information awareness drive and hand over blankets and dignity packs to indigent households and elderly citizens in Dutywa, Eastern Cape.
This programme forms part of the Deputy Minister’s Nelson Mandela International Day initiatives. Celebrated annually on July 18, Mandela Day is a clarion call to action for people to recognise their ability to have a positive effect on others around them. The day inspires people to embrace the values that the late former president shared, and ultimately seeks to empower communities everywhere to “Take Action; Inspire Change; and Make Every Day a Mandela Day.”
