Eastern Cape Legislature Finance Portfolio Committee to engage stakeholders on division of revenue 2017/18
The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature (ECPL) Portfolio Committee on Finance in partnership with the Financial and Fiscal Commission (FFC) will conduct briefing meetings on the on the Division of Revenue 2017/18, next week.
The briefing meetings will focus on the following:
- The role of agriculture and non-agricultural linkages in enabling economically, socially and environmentally balanced regional development.
- Public entities as drivers of infrastructure-led growth in rural areas.
- Fiscal arrangements for funding rural development mandates of local and district municipalities.
- Job creation in rural areas through public works programmes.
