Deputy Minister Bongani Mkongi visits Lingelethu Police Station, Khayelitsha, 6 Jul

The Deputy Minister of Police Mr Bongani Mkongi (MP), is appalled by the persistent attack of SAPS officers.

Accordingly, the Deputy Minister of Police will be visiting Lingelethu Police Station, Khayelitsha, Cape Town where an incident of attackers whom shot and injured a police officer occurred.

The Deputy Minister trough his visit to Lingelethu Police Station will be sending a strong message to criminals and those would be criminals that an attack on police officers would not be acceptable and any occurrence of such would be met with equal might of police response.

Preceding his visit to the Lingelethu Police Station, the Deputy Minister will join a prayer service against crime and meet with the different stakeholders of the Khayelitsha community including the South African Police Services.
