Deputy Minister Skwatsha to unveil the first Strengthening Relative Rights for People Working the Land (50/50) projects in the country

The Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform Mcebisi Skwatsha will visit the first projects entering the pilot phase of the Strengthening Relative Rights for People Working the Land (50/50) in the country. The event will be held in Christiana, Free State province on 4 December 2015.

During his State of the Nation Address, the President announced that the government will conduct fifty pilots on the policy on strengthening the Relative Rights of People Working the Land - popularly known as the 50/50 Policy Framework - by 2019.

This forms part of Imbizo Focus Week, which seeks to engage the public, targeted beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders countrywide in implementation of the Nine-Point Plan to grow the South African economy.
