The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr Mduduzi Manana, MP, will deliver remarks at the International AIDS Conference (18 to 22 July 2016), during the Satellite Session scheduled to be held on 18 of July 2016. His address will be under the theme, Leadership in mobilising the post-schooling sector and replicating the HEAIDS model to achieve goals of the National Strategic Plan.
The session will showcase First Things First – HEAIDS’ and Africa’s flagship HIV testing, counselling and screening and social behaviour change programme for youth, which addresses HIV/STIs/TB and related social and risk factors. The Higher Education and Training HIV/AIDS Programme (HEAIDS) is South Africa’s premier health initiative working in the post-schooling sector. HEAIDS develops and supports HIV/TB/STI and general health and wellness initiatives across 73 public higher education institutions.
