Deputy Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams hands over blankets and agricultural supplies to elderly citizens in Nyanga, 13 Jul

The Deputy Minister of Communications, Ms Stella Ndabeni Abrahams will, on Wednesday 13 July 2016, interact with elderly citizens in Nyanga, Western Cape.

The outreach programme will include serving the elderly citizens, pampering, blankets handover and activity-based competitions under the theme, “a healthy life is a long and prosperous life.”

This programme is in commemoration of Nelson Mandela International Day which provides a clarion call to action for people to recognise their ability to have a positive effect on others around them. Mandela Day further inspires people to embrace the values that the late former president shared, and ultimately seeks to empower communities everywhere to “Take Action; Inspire Change; and Make Every Day a Mandela Day.”

Members of the media are therefore invited to be part of this community outreach programme which will take place as follows:

Date: 13 July 2016
Venue: KTC Hall, Nyanga, Western Cape
Time: 9h00 – 15h00
