The Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Buti Manamela, will deliver the keynote and present the handover over awards at the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme in South Africa (GCIP-SA) ceremony in Sandton on 17 March 2023.
The GCIP-SA is an initiative of the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), an entity of the Department of Science and Innovation. It is part of a global initiative aimed at promoting clean technology innovation and supporting entrepreneurs to grow their SMMEs and start-ups into viable, investment-ready businesses.
Friday evening's award ceremony will recognise young entrepreneurs who have excelled in the development of sustainable technologies.
The GCIP-SA winner and runners-up will attend the global forum in Vienna, where they will compete with other participating GCIP countries.
