2016 marks the 40th anniversary of ‘June 16’ student uprisings. The Department of Water and Sanitation KwaZulu-Natal (DWS KZN) in partnership with Umgeni Water and Mhlathuze Water will host a seminar/symposium at Comprehensive High School in Vryheid on 3 June 2016.
The aim of the seminar/symposium is to commemorate Youth Month and to educate learners towards careers in water resource management. The seminar/symposium is targeting pupils in Grades 10, 11 and 12 and will also focus on out of school life experiences such as tertiary life, drugs etc. The seminar/symposium is in line with one of the department’s programmes, namely the 2020 Vision focusing on Youth Programmes.
