Department of Employment and Labour, Mpumalanga inspectors to conduct integrated blitz inspections in Mbombela
The Department of Employment and Labour in Mpumalanga Province will be embarking on an integrated blitz inspections from 11–15 November 2019 targeting the following sectors:
- Construction
- Agriculture
- Private Sector as well as
- Wholesale and Retail
The blitz inspections which will be conducted in and around the Mbombela area, will take the integrated approach whereby all relevant fields within the Inspection and Enforcement Services will form part of the teams comprising of OHS Inspectors, Employment Standard Inspectors, Employer Audit Inspectors and Employment Equity Inspectors.
The aim of the integrated inspections is to advise employers and employees on the provisions of the employment law. Compliance with regards to the National Minimum Wage Act; the Occupational Health and Safety Act; Basic Conditions of Employment Act; Compensation of Injuries and Diseases Act; Unemployment Insurance Act and Unemployment Contributions Act will be fully tested by the Departments Inspectors.
