Deputy Minister Mduduzi Manana rolls out Decade of Artisan advocacy campaign in Uitenhage and Port Elizabeth, 25 and 26 Jul

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr Mduduzi Manana, MP, will roll-out the Decade of the Artisan advocacy campaign in Uitenhage and Port Elizabeth, in the province of the Eastern Cape on the 25 and 26 July 2016. 

On the first day, the Deputy Minister will meet with executives of the Automotive industry at Volkswagen SA, Chemicals industry at Continental Tyres and Hospitality industry at Boardwalk Hotel and Casino in a bid to encourage them to partner with TVET Colleges and avail their workplaces as training spaces for artisan learners and for lecturers to be exposed to latest technologies.

On the second day, approximately 1000 learners from local high-schools will be motivated to consider artisanship as a career of choice in the 21st Century as well as share information on critical scarce skills that will advance the economy of the country.
