Labour hosts debriefing session for 2019 Workers Month, 31 May

Department of Labour: Free State hosts a debriefing session for the 2019 Workers Month

The Department of Labour’s Acting Chief Director: Provincial Operations in Free State, Emily Maneli together with her executive management, will be hosting a debriefing session for the 2019 Workers Month programme.

This debriefing comes hot on the heels of the epic closure of the Departmental Workers Month campaign which saw officials crisscrossing the Free State province in a quest to commemorate this important calendar month.  A highly intensive activity programme was developed and implemented to check the level of compliance to labour laws, to teach workers about their rights and responsibilities, and to provide the much needed information on labour legislation.

It is therefore envisaged that the Acting Chief Director will unveil a comprehensive report speaking to an array of activities embarked upon during this month, and shed some light on how the Department plans to deal with shortcomings encountered.  Federations of trade unions will also be afforded an opportunity to share their own experiences during those activities in which they participated.

The debriefing will be held as follows:
Date: 31 May 2019
Time: 10:00am
Venue: 6th floor Boardroom Department of Labour’s Provincial Office 43 Charlotte Maxeke Street Bloemfontein

Members of the media are invited to this debriefing.
