Deputy Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams leads post-SoNA Information Seminar, 18 Apr

Creating an informed and active citizenry through post SONA Information Seminar

In line with the 2016 State of the Nation Address (SONA) pronouncements and government priorities, the Deputy Minister of Communications, Ms. Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams (MP) will lead a post SoNA Information Seminar in the Mbhashe Local Municipality, Idutywa. 

Post SoNA Information Seminar affords Government the opportunity to engage and reflect on service delivery, plans, milestones and challenges to date as part of ongoing feedback to communities.

Preceding the post SoNA information seminar will be a project monitoring visit wherein the Deputy Minister will check on the progress of the Online Video Editing course which is currently ongoing at the King Sabata Dalindyebo (KSD) TVET College in Cicira, Mthatha.

In her 2015 Budget Vote Speech, the Deputy Minister committed to, “train unemployed youth, learners and teachers on Online Video Editing Software.” This project has been rolled out in partnership with MICT SETA and Atos, benefiting 70 unemployed youth in Eastern Cape, 40 in the Western Cape and 40 in Gauteng.
