Correctional Services and SA Soccer Legends launch offender soccer development programme
The National Commissioner of Correctional Services, Mr. Zach Modise, will officially launch the offender soccer development programme at Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Centre. The launch is a culmination of a partnership between the department, SA Soccer legends including Helman “Midnight express” Mkhelele and Edward “Magents” Motale as well as Avbob.
The programme will see offenders being trained and developed in various aspects of football including referring, coaching and administration. The programme is expected to be rolled out nationally across all correctional facilities.
