Coming up this week – Budget Vote Debates and Legislation

Three budget votes are scheduled for debate by the National Assembly on Tuesday– Public Enterprises, State Security and Rural Development and Land Reform.

On Tuesday morning, the six scheduled meetings of Committees of the NA will deal with:

Budget votes, financials, expenditure reports and strategic plans

• Portfolio Committee on Environmental Affairs adopts department’s budget vote
• Portfolio Committee on Human Settlements briefed on department’s 2015/16 fourth quarter report and also considers and adopts Committee’s report on department’s strategic plan, annual performance plan and budget 2015/16
• Standing Committee on Finance considers its report on National Treasury budget vote
• Select Committee on Land and Mineral Resources briefed by department on revised five-year strategic plan
• Portfolio Committee on Social Development adopts its report on the department’s strategic plan and budget vote
• Portfolio Committee on Telecommunications and Postal Services considers and adopts its report on budget vote of the department
