Minister Jeff Radebe to be discussant at former Deputy Chief Justice Moseneke’s book launch
The Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, Jeff Radebe will be a discussant at the launch of former Deputy Chief Justice, Dikgang Moseneke’s memoir; My Own Liberator.
Minister Radebe and former Deputy Chief Justice, Moseneke were fellow prison mates on Robben Island. Robben Island is described to be the place which became a school not only in politics for Moseneke but an opportunity for dedicated studies towards a law degree that would provide the bedrock for a long and fruitful career.
Minister Radebe as the main discussant at the book launch will give a reflection of the relationship he has enjoyed with the former Deputy Chief Justice over the years.
The memoir is further described by the publisher as a personal biography that charts Moseneke’ s rise as one of the country’s top legal minds who not only helped to draft the Constitution, but for 15 years acted as a guardian of it for all South Africans.
