Gender Equality donates office equipment to Pimville and Daveyton schools as part of Mandela Month, 19 Jul

CGE and NEMISA donate Desktops and ICT Equipment to Musi High School in Pimville and Dan Pharasi Primary School in Daveyton

On the 19 July 2016, as part of the Mandela Month, the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) and the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA) will be donating office equipment, including computers, to Musi High School and Dan Pharasi Primary School in Pimville and Daveyton respectively.

As part of activities to give meaning to the day, staff members from the two institutions will dedicate 67 minutes of community service to these two schools. This gesture by the two institutions is inspired by former President Nelson Mandela’s spirit of selflessness and incomparable determination to create a society in which the human dignity and equality of all is recognised and protected.

According to the CGE’s Chairperson, Mr. Mfanozelwe Shozi this is in line with the ideals and principles of Nelson Mandela who believed that Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”  It is therefore our firm belief that these equipment will go a long way towards realising those ideals and principles.

The Commission for Gender Equality and NEMISA therefore invite members of the media to this momentous occasion as we continue to keep the spirit and ideals of former President Mandela alive.
