Do not get confused - candidate’s options after the results
Results of 2016 Grade 12 examination have been announced by MEC Ishmael Kgetjepe on the 5th January 2016. Some learners such as Malamba Nemavhadwe of Tshivhase Secondary School have made it in flying colours, others achieved on average while others such as those in Makidi and Nokanantshwana schools could not pass.
All these learners need some tips on way forward and the following information is important.
1. What options are available for those who have passed with the different pass levels and what processes are associated with these options?

2. What are options available for those who haven’t applied anywhere and for those who have applied but were not accepted anywhere?

Rejected on account of lower scores – the applicant should produce any formal document for such a rejection and apply for Grade 12 rewrite in November/December 2017. There must be formal application. |

3. What options are available for those who have failed and what are the processes for those options?
Failed candidates:
- Qualifying candidates may apply for supplementary examination as each candidate is advised on the statement of results – closing date is 19 January 2017.
- May apply for remarking (R92.00), rechecking (R21.00) or viewing (R180.00) – closing date is19 January 2017
- May register as a part-time candidate to sit for examination in November/December – closing date is 15 March 2017 – The Circuit Office will allocate relevant part-time examination centre to each candidate.
