Red Tape Reduction intervention saves lucrative business deal; Minister Winde to discuss Brexit export impact

Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, will tomorrow (28 June 2016) highlight some of the red tape concerns facing exports, and discuss the possible economic impact of Brexit, the United Kingdom’s vote to leave the European Union.

The briefing will take place during a visit by Minister Winde to Southern Spars, a city-based masts, booms and rigging firm. An intervention by the Western  Cape’s Red Tape Reduction Unit recently saved a lucrative boat-building export deal.

The visit will further highlight the impact of red tape on the Western Cape’s multi-million rand boat-building industry.
