North West Tourism hosts Bojanala District Tourism Lekgotla, 15 Nov

Department to host the Bojanala District Tourism Lekgotla

In endeavor to seek inputs from tourism industry role players the department of Tourism in the North West will host the Bojanala District lekgotla where product owners in the Tourism industry across the province will contribute towards Tourism growth.

Amongst other things, this lekgotla will seek to cement relevant public and private partnerships to implement the approved tourism strategies which will assist in growing the provincial economy through tourism and maximize the A Re Yeng Bokone Bophirima brand property. Product owners are also expected to input on the five concretes in relation to the Tourism industry. 

North West MEC for Tourism, Desbo Mohono will on the same day of the lekgotla host the MUNIMEC forum, where she will be meeting with mayors of respective municipalities within the Bojanala District. The forum will ensure that there will be alignment between planning and budget processes in identifying needs.

It is envisaged that the forum will monitor and evaluate Tourism products in local municipalities and further advise the department on relevant issues to be attended to. This will also assist in the tourism development and ensure coordination in planning and implementation of the three approved strategies by the department.
