The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services, Dr. Siyabonga Cwele to launch B-BBEE ICT Sector Council and the B-BBEE ICT Sector Code
The Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services Dr Siyabonga Cwele will launch the B-BBEE ICT Sector Council and the B-BBEE ICT Sector Code at Gallagher Convention Centre on 08 November 2016.
The launch of the B-BBEE ICT Sector Council follows the gazetting of the B-BBEE Sector Code today, 7 November 2016. The Council is tasked with monitoring the transformation of the sector by facilitating the implementation of the B-BBEE Sector Code. It will also measure the progress made by the sector.
The Council has representatives from government, the regulator, ICT sector, women, youth and organised labour.
