ASIDI continues to deliver change to rural education
The Department of Basic Education’s ASIDI Programme will on Friday 4 March 2016 continue to provide sustainable change to rural education as Chairperson of the Eastern Cape Education Portfolio Committee Mr Fundile Gade officially hands over Dumba Junior Secondary School in Qumbu, Eastern Cape.
Together with provincial infrastructure programmes, ASIDI forms a critical component of SIP13 as well as the national school build programme of the Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission (PICC).
With 136 state of the art schools having been completed since the inception of programme, ASIDI continues to play a vital role in eradicating mud schools and in so doing, restoring dignity to rural education.
