Arts and Culture conducts Master Classes in Johannesburg, 22 Jan

Arts and Culture continues to conduct Master Classes under the Living Legends Legacy Programme

The Department of Arts and Culture invites members of the media to a Master Class that will be conducted by legendary dancer Adele Blank on Friday, 22 January 2016 at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg.

Adele Blank is an esteemed choreographer and dance instructor who has trained, performed, choreographed and taught extensively in classical ballet and contemporary dance both locally and internationally.

The Master Class is part of the Living Legends Legacy Programme launched in August 2015 by the Department of Arts and Culture to honour the living legends across all arts disciplines for their contribution in the Arts, Culture and Heritage sector. The living legends conduct Master Classes from the legend’s artistically journey in the form of experiential classes and lectures based on wisdom, skill and experience in their areas of expertise.

The initiative is meant to engage the living legends actively in programmes that promote arts and culture development as well as providing opportunities for them to interact and share their knowledge and experience with the younger generation of artists.
