Announcement of the passing on of the Chief of Joint Operations Lieutenant-General Duma Dumisani Mdutyana
It is with great shock and dismay that the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Ms NN Mapisa-Nqakula announces the passing on of the Chief of Joint Operations (C JOPS), Lieutenant-General Duma Dumisani Mdutyana.
Lt Gen Mdutyana passed on this morning after a short illness. He fell ill whilst on duty abroad and was hospitalised upon his return.
The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, the Chief of the South African National Defence Force, General Shoke, convey their heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, friends, colleagues and comrades of the late Lt Gen Mdutyana.
